Do You Know Anyone Who Flies At Night?
I need to borrow a broom!
Hello, Villager!

You were expecting Bambi, abi?
She is not around today. Mama has been queuing at the filling station since 7 a.m.
This fuel thing is affecting everything and everyone. I haven’t even been to the office since last week.
At this point, HR will probably be typing my query letter, if HR is even at work.
Can you blame me for missing work? How much are they paying me that I will be spending over N50K a week on transport?
Anyway, I decided to help Bambi write today's letter (the truth is, she begged me to)
How have you been coping with the fuel hike, especially with the increase in transport?
Me? I have been looking for people who fly at night; maybe one of them will lend me a broom so I can fly to the office because I can’t even deal with all this stress.
My flatmate shared some strategies she has been using to help cut down on transportation costs with me last night.
I want to try it next week; I think you should too.
Here are the things:
Carpooling with some coworkers to and from work. You can all share the transport fare
Taking different routes that are cheaper
Contributing money to buy fuel for a coworker who has a car and stays close to you.
Speaking to HR to allow you to work remotely 2 days a week (my HR should better agree to this one).
Saving all the money you can save using the Ajo+ feature on Jollof+ so that you can buy a car that doesn’t need too much fuel.
I, on the other hand, have locked part of my Japa money with the Jolloflock feature on Jollof+.
Soon I won’t be participating in this country’s fuel wahala.
You can try these tips and see if they help you cope during this period.
You can also join me on my quest to find people who fly at night so they can lend us their brooms in the meantime.
I don’t know when Bambi will be back to write to you, but at least you have heard something good today.
Till Bambi returns,
Toodles,
Femi
